ABOUT THE RIDE
Join us for the 11th annual UnitedHealthcare California Challenge, where we will ride 450 miles of stunning beaches and landscape from San Francisco to the West Los Angeles Medical Center. This is one of the most challenging of the Project Hero events, with a climb up Stagecoach Pass followed by a fast flowing long descent with ocean views.
Travel down the beautiful and scenic Highway 1 while enjoying stunning views of the Pacific Coast at every turn! The Pacific Ocean will be off your right shoulder as you head south through great cities like Santa Cruz, Salinas, San Simeon, Pismo Beach, Solvang and Ventura. The ride will depart from the San Francisco and finish at the West Los Angeles VA.
This ride is a Category: Hard (Difficult)
This Challenge Events will be limited to 40 participants. Selected participants will receive rooming September 7 & 8, 2018, rider support, daily route guides, ride leader, rest stops, hydration, nutrition and meals. There may also be entertainment on selected evenings.
