On Jan. 9, Project Hero’s Ray Clark and Tiffini Skuce were on deck representing the organization for the Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA) Suicide Prevention All Hands and Resource Fair featuring suicide survivor, activist and storyteller Kevin Hines and founder and director of the Columbia Light House Project, Dr. Kelly Posner.
Ray and Tiffini shared the health benefits of peer support and cycling provided through Project Hero programs with DHRA leadership and employees.
“It’s important for us to share the amazing opportunities that Project Hero has for veterans and first responders,” said Tiffini. “Most people, if not a veteran themselves, are somehow connected to a vet, so if we can spread the word about Project Hero’s unique peer-to- peer network, then we can save more lives.”
The Resource Fair is held a couple times a year in the D.C. area and allows organizations that provide a range of suicide prevention and awareness resources to attend.
